Well, well, well… The mayor of Kartal Mr. Arif Daglar, was proudly included in this blog earlier for his lead role in massacring dogs in his neighborhood. He must have loved what he had done! He just can not have enough….
The sequel to the Kartal massacre came just a few days ago. And what a sequel it was – the monster that you hoped had died at the end of the first movie came back in full force.
Natural born killers do that. They develop techniques of their own (poisoning in this case), they stick to them and perfect them as they escalate (which normally happens). This particular natural born killer, the mayor of Kartal, went through a similar course of development.
In an earlier massacre in the area, he was able to kill a good number of dogs. As he perfected his dog poisoning skills, he came back to massacre even more dogs. Again, while everybody was sleeping, the monster, the natural born dog killer, struck again. And we can assure that he will keep doing so – HELLCOME TO TURKEY – a true hell on earth for animals.
We are only a handful of individuals fighting a monster that is never dying. It will not die. It is a nightmare, not on Elm street, in the heart of Istanbul, the largest city in Turkey. Even Freddie may die, but this particular monster, the Turkish mayor who is simply disgusted by dogs, will not die.
That is unless you help us.

The dogs we met whilst holidaying in Altinkum were the most friendly and tame we had met. We are returning next year specifically to see them. If they arent there myself and my family will NEVER visit your country again. What you are doing is barbaric and sadistic. You should rot in hell!!!!

These dogs are obviously loved by the caring locals and tourists,(see lisa law comment!) these dogs are NOT savage and have been vacinated against rabies, so why the killing???? and the way you kill!!!???? have you no heart??? if a dog is rabid, and ‘has’ to be put down, do so in a humane way, NOT BY POISON!!!!

I will not visit Turkey until you improve conditions for all animals and stop torturing and killing them! I will tell everybody about how you treat the animals. They are not yours to mistreat.
I think what you are doing is sick! It is such a shame that because of the few government idiots the whole of the Turkish tourist trade will suffer and so your people will suffer.
You are making your country look like a backward, uncaring, brutal nation and I and all the people I know through my work with Oxjam and my music company will not be visiting Turkey untill you can show yourselves to be worth visiting.
The only people who can really make a difference and put pressure on the government to change are the Turkish people, and I’m sure as the tourist trade so vital to Turkey diminishes, they will make a stand, and put the pressure needed to make this change.

Yes – it’s very sad that because of the horrific actions of these mindless government officials,the reputation and trade of Turkey are suffering.
I hope the good intelligent people will make a stand against these brutal savages – they have no place in a civilised society.
I noticed some of my emails to Turkey authorities are being returned as “failed” – they are probably blocking emails of protest and disgust for the agony these poor dogs have suffered, and the cruelty allowed to exist to helpless animals in Turkey. Seems the officials of Turkey are the terrorist of the world. Too sad for words…we cannot forget these victims.

This evil practice needs to stop now. Those poor dogs are still puppies! It sickens me to see this happening. I realize that even in the United States, that animals are euthanized because of lack of homes, and that kills me as well. I wish that every animal could have a loving home where they are cared for and loved and live a long happy life. But these Turkish people are just wrong.
I thought only china did such inhumane practices to dogs but I see Turkey is up there with them too, you must be so proud to be a turk, I know I wouldn’t. So many people already have a low opinion of Turkish people for the way they objectify women, now you are being loathed for yet another reason. I hope you see what sort of country you are before it’s too late because your people don’t deserve to be branded the same as your government. I know I will be telling people what you are like and not recommending they visit. I can spend my tourist dollars in better places that’s for sure, somewhere where people value mans best friend and handle them with humanity and compassion and decency regardless of whether they are someone’s pet or not.

I am often in Turkey, i see how the dogs are handle by the poor people in he country side..AWFUL!!

For such a friendly people to treat animals in this manner…my heart is broken. We are here on earth to love care for each other and that includes all creatures big and small.
i dont blame all turkey but they are represented by 1 country.i refuse to travel to a country that knows no respect for the innocent.just look at those pictures.if you can just stop and replace those with peoples faces youd feel disgusted with those responsible.
