On 4 October 2008, this was what the people of France demanded from Turkey: Stop the dog genocide. From Australia to Africa, from North America to Europe, others demanded the same and screamed as loudly as they could to put an immediate end to the misery of stray animals in Turkey.
Hundreds gathered in Istanbul, Turkey itself, and pledged to fight for the right of stray animals in their country till the end.
The images you will see from around the world speak for themselves;

Essentially, 4 October marked a turning point for the Turkish animal rights movement. As of now, there exists a global coalition dedicated to one goal: the welfare of animals in Turkey. The authorities of Turkey now face a stronger voice than ever….
We ask everybody who is with us in this cause to send the Turkish Ministry of Tourism an email with the title “The World Is Watching You”. Please include the link to the web album, tell them that you have seen all the pictures from 4 October 2008, and that you are also one of those from around the world who is watching Turkey by the minute:

At last Turkish Animals have a voice – Ours !
Stop killing, abusing and torturing animals in Turkey imediatelly. I will never visit your country only for this reason and I will ask everybody I know not to visit Turkey.

Cant wait for the next ones…they will be even bigger and our voices louder !!
This is cruel beyond belief. Please stop this barbaric practise and hold those accountable for the crime of animal abuse. I hate people for their cruelty to animals. I cannot stop crying after reading this. This is absolutely horrid.
Stoppt endlich diese Grausamkeit.
What those people did/do to the animals is beneath every creature’s dignity!!! Where does this senseless hatred come from?
Why is “dog” a swearword??
A dog is a faithful, devoted and friendly companion – those human beings not – shame on them!!!
