this site uses turkey as a scapegoat we agree that turkey has serious problems about animal rights but doesnt the whole world has? saying that turkey is hell for animals is wrong, its wrong to blame us for all humanitys sacrifice and sins. im a turkish person and i HATE to see the way my goverment treat to animals its true that cats and dogs are poisoned, killed and suffered even burried alive ! but turkey is just an example for the cruelty of humans against the animals please do not use us as a scape goat! there are so much sad situations happening on earth like,

canadians hunting baby harpseals
japaneese hunting dolphins and whales
china skinning every kind of furry animal alive
india, singapore, even U.S and the list goes on…

Bu ne şiddet? Ülke böyle mi elden gidiyor? Sen halen “kol kırılır yen içinde kalır” mantığında kalmışsın. Dünya değişti arkadaşım. Bizim yetkililerimiz hayvanlara toplu katliamlar yapsın, insanlarımız işkenceler yapsın ve yaptıkları yanlarına kar kalsın, kimse de eleştirmesin. Hele ki yabancılar. Ben ülkemde böyle vahşet olmasını hazmedemem, eğer bu insanlar tepkilerini vererek bu ülkenin olması gerektiği gibi hayvanlarına ve doğasına sahip çıktığı bir ülke olması için katkıda bulunuyorsa onlara teşekkür ederim. Bizim saf köylümüz hayvana ve doğaya saygılıdır, misafirperverdir, yabancıyı tanrı misafiri kabul eder, dürüsttür. Ne oldu bu ülkeye? Bu haberlerin hepsi doğru, her geçen gün yenisi ekleniyor. Biz ne yapalım?
Senin düşüncene göre yalan söyleyelim, inkar edip her yabancıya düşman gözü ile mi bakalım? Böyle yaparsak ne olur biliyormusun. “Türk” düşmanlığı artar, ülkemiz daha çok zarar görür.
Sen işin özünü kaçırmışsın.

Güzelim türkiye’den “Güzelim” kalimesini hak etmesini istiyorlar. Bunları yapan senin, benim of verdiğimiz belediyeler yapıyor. Hayvanları koruyan yasalar uygulanmıyor, bu konuda sen ne yapıyorsun. İstanbul’da herkez emniyet kemeri takıyor, neden mi? Bir yasa geldi ve UYGULANDI! Yasalar uygulanmalı, insanlar da ANLAMALI.

The ultra-nationalist idiots are the ones taking this country down. I don’t believe in boycott, but I respect. I believe in fighting for a better future. This tragedy is STILL going on and I’m ashame of it, and fighting fot it to STOP!
I thank all the people who writes a comment of protest, you are taking time for my country to be a better place.
Dogs are ment to live with humans, they need their love and protection this is the law of nature.
If we cannot learn to respect, and take care of these animanals we are going to pay the price….

Do you think those nice Americans checked to see if there were any doggies in the way before the launched “shock and awe” attacks??

Do you think they have their drones armed with HELLFIRE MISSILES take an extra look to check for animals before launching against a house where a Taliban commander has forced his way in and killing him …and the family who live there and their dogs cats sheep goats etc.

How many dolphins died in the nuclear tests at Bikini Atholl? How many are killed or maimed or deafened in naval live firing excercises or seismic prospecting for oil.

You guys really need to change your priorities to reflect the real real killers and destroyers of both people and animals in this world.

Terrific reply! It is true good and bad people are everywhere.

We here in Holland have a Turkish Animal rigts org. that does the most terrific job helping animals in Turkey.

Let us all join in unity to make a strong front against them who do the evil.

We need to gain momentum on animal rights with education towards the people and raising our kids in love for all that lives. Stop bashing fellow animal friends on their ethnicity, country, religion or color of skin but UNITE and reach the critical mass we need to revolve into a the world of our wishes and prayers for a saver world for everybody and every living creature out there.

At least let them be save from us.

We need top step up to the level of higher consciousness
We need to take that step on the ladder of evolution to become the caretakers god planned us to.

I went to Turkey several times and I used to live in Istanbul for some period and I was really disappointed and I felt very bad to see all these dogs in the street always in danger and without knowing if they will arrive alive until the next day, this is an uncivilezed and shamed situation and everybody should be aware of this.
I’m italian and here after some years we got from the government serious laws that defend the dogs and put even to prison their owners if they treat them in a bad way or if they leave them in the street.
In any case about the stray dogs the government is always trying to do the best because we must love animals! there is a campaign saying ” are you human or inhuman?” because no person should be able to leave a dog in a street!
I hope this group of volonteers can be really helpful in Instabul and all over Turkey, in order that government understand and can be really aware of this serious and barbaric situation!
